Enabling Truth, Memory, and Justice (Oct 2022- September 2025)

Project Objectives:

  • To strengthen the capacity of local government and local civil society to conflict sensitively document, archive, and preserve victim’s stories for truth, justice, reconciliation, and memorialization, especially victims from marginalized caste and ethnoreligious groups, women, youth, sexual and gender minorities, and people with disabilities.
  • To strengthen locally-led advocacy and education initiatives to enhance local, provincial, and federal government accountability on reparation, and memorialization efforts and to promote learning from past conflict and encourage non-recurrence in the future.
  • To empower conflict victims, survivors, and their families, especially those who have been marginalized based on caste or ethnoreligious background, gender, age, sexual orientation, or disability, to effectively participate in safe TJ processes to reflect their individual and collective needs.

  • Surkhet (Chingad RM, Chaukune RM, and Birendranagar Municipality)
  • Rukum west (Musikot Municipality, Triveni RM)
  • Rukum East (Bhume RM)

Target beneficiaries: Conflict victims and their families.
