Livelihood Initiatives for Vulnerable and Excluded

Project Goal:

  • By the end of 2025, 1400 (1290 female and 110 male) marginalized households will have enhanced livelihood and food security of marginalized and socially- excluded communities through improved farm practices and animal husbandry.

Project goal (FEMI): to strengthen the COSELI project in year 1 by

  • Expanding the community groups with 19 extra (already existing 51 + 19 extra = 70 in total)
  • Strengthen the team with capacity building and hiring an extra Community Educator and Agricultural technician

Key approach:

  1. Facilitation on Empowerment and Social Transformation:
    • Social Analysis and Listening Survey
    • Group Formation
    • Problem definition, Action Planning, and Implementation
    • Organizational development.
  2. Gender Equality and Social Inclusion
  3. Right Based Approach
  4. Collaboration with Local Government
  5. Group fund mobilization (Local resource mobilization based on entrepreneurship/economic growth.
  6. Partnership with CBNOs and CBNO Federation

Project coverage:

  • Dangisharan Rural Municipality

Target beneficiaries: Poor, marginalized, food insecure Dalits, women, and lead farmers.
